Satheesan To Take Oath As Kerala CM With Full Cabinet Today

Kerala CM VD Satheesan Swearing-In Ceremony Live: Kerala Chief Minister-designate VD Satheesan is set to take oath as the new Chief Minister of the state on Monday along with his 20-member Council of Ministers. The swearing-in ceremony will take place at the Central Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram at 10 am.

Satheesan announced the new cabinet on Sunday after meeting Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar and submitting the final list of ministers who will be sworn in with him.

The final cabinet list was prepared after detailed discussions among allies in the United Democratic Front (UDF).

Kerala Cabinet Ministers

Satheesan will hold the finance portfolio in addition to serving as Chief Minister. Senior Congress leader Ramesh Chennithala has been given charge of the Home department.

Several senior Congress leaders are part of the new cabinet, including K. Muraleedharan and Sunny Joseph.

The Congress ministers in the new government include Sunny Joseph, AP Anilkumar, PC Vishnunadh, Roji M John, Bindhu Krishna, M Liju, T Siddique and OJ Janeesh. KA Thulasi has also been included in the ministry and will be one of the two women ministers from the Congress quota.

The Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) will be represented by PK Kunhalikutty, PK Basheer, N Shamsudheen, KM Shaji and Abdul Gafoor.

Allies get representation

Leaders from UDF alliance partners have also been included in the ministry. These include CP John from the CMP, Shibu Baby John from the RSP, Anoop Jacob from the Kerala Congress (Jacob) faction and Mons Joseph from the Kerala Congress (Joseph) faction.

The alliance has also announced Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan as the Speaker of the Kerala Assembly, while Shanimol Usman will serve as Deputy Speaker.
