Kerala Lottery Seller Wins ₹12 Crore Vishu Bumper, Says Prize Will Help Find Bride For Son

Kerala Lottery Result Today Vishu Bumper BR-109: Ponnan, a lottery seller from Kerala, has won the ₹12 crore jackpot in the Vishu Bumper Lottery 2026 (BR-109), PTI reported on Saturday. The winning ticket, VB 135452, was sold at Karunagappalli by agent Anil D (agency number Q 4301).

According to PTI, for Ponnan, the windfall could help him find a suitable bride for his son, Vinod. “It is difficult to find a bride for someone from a poor family. Now we have crores. Let’s see if we can get a good proposal for him,” he told reporters.

Ponnan, who has been selling lottery tickets on the roadside for years and occasionally buys tickets for himself, said luck finally smiled on him this time. Speaking to reporters after being declared the winner, he said he had purchased one ticket for himself from the lot he brought for sale, and it turned out to be the lucky one. His wife said the prize money would help the family clear several debts.

Ponnan also said that his lucky number is 2, which happened to be the last digit of the winning ticket number. He added that he, his wife and son began selling lottery tickets during the Covid-19 pandemic. “My husband has become a crorepati,” his wife said happily. Ponnan, however, said he never imagined he would win the bumper prize. “I checked the number a few times to be sure I had won. I could not believe it,” he said.

The draw was conducted at Gorky Bhavan near Bakery Junction in Thiruvananthapuram under strict government supervision. Check the full list of winning numbers below.
