All toddy and wine shops, bars attached to restaurants, and military canteens, including bars in star hotels and registered clubs, in six municipalities under the Cyberabad commissionerate will remain shut in view of the upcoming municipal elections. As per the order, all liquor outlets in these areas will remain closed from 5 p.m. on February 9 until 6 p.m. on February 11, 2026, covering the polling period. On the counting day, February 13, the establishments will remain shut from 6 a.m. until the completion of the counting process and the declaration of results.

In a notification issued on Saturday, Cyberabad Police Commissioner M. Ramesh said the closure would apply to establishments located within the municipalities of Indresham, Isnapur and Gaddapotharam under the Serilingampally zone, and Yellampet, Aliyabad and Mudichinthalapally under the Quthbullapur zone.

In Isnapur municipality, the order applies to Lakdaram, Chitkul, Isnapur and Rudraram villages, while in Gaddapotharam municipality it covers Gaddapotharam, Khajipally and Madharam villages. In Mudichinthalapally Municipality, the restriction applies to Kolthur village.
