‘Might Kill Me, My Entire Family’: Sister Of Unnao Rape Survivor Questions Kuldeep Sengar’s Bail

Reacting to the court’s order granting bail to Sengar during the pendency of his appeal, the victim’s sister said the family was devastated and felt completely unprotected.

A day after the Delhi High Court suspended the life sentence of former BJP legislator Kuldeep Singh Sengar in the 2017 Unnao rape case, the survivor’s sister on Wednesday voiced grave fears for her family’s safety, saying the decision has left them living in constant fear.

Reacting to the court’s order granting bail to Sengar during the pendency of his appeal, the victim’s sister said the family was devastated and felt completely unprotected.

“I am not happy with this decision. He killed my uncle and then my father. After that, this crime was committed against my sister. Now he has been released, but we are still in danger," she said.
