Oil and Gas Stocks to Buy: Oil and gas stocks continue to attract investor attention amid healthy cash flows and attractive valuations, with several companies retaining favourable analyst recommendations. According to analyst consensus data compiled by INDmoney, a number of large-, mid- and small-cap energy stocks continue to offer upside potential based on their target prices. Oil & Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) tops the list with an estimated upside potential of 25.67 per cent, followed by Oil India Ltd, Supreme Petrochem Ltd, Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd (BPCL) and Indian Oil Corporation Ltd (IOC).
Here's a look at these oil and gas stocks, along with their current market prices (CMP), analyst ratings, target prices and the potential gains implied by analysts' estimates.
Meanwhile, the Nifty Energy index will remain in focus as investors track movements in global crude oil prices, refining margins, government policy developments and quarterly earnings from major energy companies.

According to data compiled by INDmoney, Oil India Ltd has delivered the highest three-year return among the selected oil and gas stocks at 163.65 per cent. It is followed by Oil & Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) with 46.34 per cent, Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) with 43.34 per cent, Bharat Petroleum Corporation (BPCL) with 37.82 per cent, and Supreme Petrochem Ltd with 93.72 per cent over the past three years.
Indian benchmark equity indices closed marginally lower on Tuesday, dragged by selling in HDFC Bank for the second day as investors remained cautious due to geopolitical uncertainties and booked profits after the recent market rally.
Extending losses for the second day, the 30-share BSE Sensex fell 238.41 points or 0.31 per cent to end at 77,470.11 with nine of its constituents closing lower and 21 with gains. During the day, the benchmark index dropped 371.19 points, or 0.47 per cent, to 77,337.33. The 50-share NSE Nifty dropped by 50.80 points, or 0.21 per cent, to end at 24,187.70.
