PM Modi met the families of slain BJP workers Debasish Mondal, Soumitra Ghoshal, and Ananda Paul.
After attending the swearing-in ceremony of West Bengal’s new government, Prime Minister Narendra Modi met the families of BJP workers who lost their lives in incidents of political violence in the state.
The Prime Minister interacted with the families of Debasish Mondal, Soumitra Ghoshal, and Ananda Paul, expressing condolences and standing in solidarity with them. The meeting took place shortly after Modi attended the oath-taking ceremony of Suvendu Adhikari in Kolkata.
BJP IT cell chief Amit Malviya shared details of the meeting on social media, praising the Prime Minister’s gesture. He wrote that the BJP “stands with karyakartas, forever," and said the sacrifices of the deceased workers for ideology and democracy in West Bengal would never be forgotten. He further added that the party remains committed to standing with its workers and their families “in struggle and in service, always."

Suvendu Adhikari took oath as the state’s first BJP Chief Minister, marking a significant political shift in West Bengal.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Ministers Amit Shah, Rajnath Singh, JP Nadda and Dharmendra Pradhan, along with Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha and Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma, Delhi CM Rekha Gupta and Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Dhami, attended the swearing-in ceremony.
