Protean eGov Technologies reports 13% revenue growth in Q3

Protean eGov Technologies Ltd reported revenue from operations of ₹229 crore for the third quarter ending December 31, 2025, marking a 13 per cent year-on-year increase. The Mumbai-based digital public infrastructure provider posted EBITDA of ₹46 crore, up 34 per cent from the same quarter last year, with margins expanding to 19 per cent. Profit after tax stood at ₹26 crore, reflecting 15 per cent growth.

The company’s tax services segment drove growth with 14 per cent revenue increase, supported by a 90-basis-point sequential market share gain. Protean issued over 1.1 crore PAN cards during the quarter, maintaining a 59 per cent market share as extended Aadhaar-PAN linkage deadlines boosted issuances.

New business segments contributed 11 per cent of nine-month revenue compared to 4 per cent in the previous fiscal year. The company operationalised 34 Aadhaar Seva Kendras across 19 States, and secured a ₹25 crore contract in Ethiopia to implement an AI-powered digital platform for agriculture.

In pension services, Protean onboarded 35 lakh new subscribers, capturing 94 per cent of incremental industry additions and maintaining a 98 per cent market share across NPS, APY, and UPS schemes. The company also acquired a 4.95 per cent stake in NSDL Payments Bank to expand its digital banking technology offerings.

Protean maintains a debt-free balance sheet with approximately ₹800 crore in cash equivalents and marketable securities.

The shares of Protean eGov Technologies Limited ended on the NSE today at ₹655 up by ₹10.80 or 1.68 per cent.
