Q1 Results in Coming Week: As the first-quarter earnings season going on, several companies are set to announce their June quarter results between July 27 and August 2.

Investors will closely track earnings from Bharat Electronics (BEL), Canara Bank, Coal India, Hindustan Unilever (HUL), Larsen & Toubro (L&T), Ambuja Cements, Adani Enterprises, Adani Ports, Asian Paints, Bajaj Finance, Hyundai Motor India, Swiggy, ITC, Maruti Suzuki, Sun Pharmaceutical, GAIL, Muthoot Finance, CDSL and several other companies across the banking, financial services, FMCG, infrastructure, auto, pharmaceuticals, energy, cement and technology sectors for cues on corporate performance and market direction.

The Indian stock markets extended their losses for the fifth consecutive session on Friday, marking their longest stretch of declines since the first week of January, as oil prices above $100 per barrel, worries over inflation, renewed concerns over US trade tariffs and other factors spooked investors. Fresh foreign fund outflows and selling in blue-chip HDFC Bank also dented market sentiment.

Falling for the 5th straight day, 30-share BSE Sensex declined 331.62 points, or 0.43 per cent, to settle at 76,059.77. During the day, it tanked 916.96 points, or 1.20 per cent, to 75,474.43. The 50-share NSE Nifty dipped 102.15 points, or 0.43 per cent, to end at 23,767.45.
