The embarrassing moment transpired during the first session of Day 2 of the Test match. As the Pakistan team were batting, the broadcaster seemingly wanted to showcase the statistics of the team. However, the names displayed on the screen were all Indian national cricketers. The list of XI players, which included former Indian captain Rohit Sharma, briefly appeared on the screen.
Along with Rohit, the graphic showcased Shubman Gill, Tilak Varma, Shivam Dube, Jitesh Sharma, Rinku Singh, Axar Patel, Washington Sundar, Ravi Bishnoi, Arshdeep Singh and Mukesh Kumar. Social media users who witnessed the bizarre incident reported it on social media, and soon the matter went viral.

The mishap opened the floodgates for reactions, and an inundation of comments flowed. While most of the users saw this as a subject to deride, some went deep and speculated that it was a planned gimmick to gain viewership.

About the match, Pakistan captain Shan Masood won the toss and invited Bangladesh to bat first. The decision did not reap an ideal return as Bangladesh posted a respectable total of 413 in 117.1 overs. Bangladesh skipper Nazmul Hossain led from the front by scoring 101 off 130 balls. Besides Hossain, Mominul Haque registered 91, and Mushfiqur Rahim made 71. From the bowling end, Mohammad Abbas emerged as the pick of the bowlers. He took a 5-wicket haul and conceded 92 runs after bowling 34 overs. As per the fresh update, Pakistan are in a solid position at 176/1 after 45 overs. Azan Awais is nearing a hundred. He is batting on 84 off 130, and Abdullah Fazal on the other end is on 35 off 75.
