Total revenue for the quarter stood at ₹1,541 crore, up 173% from ₹ 564 crore in Q4FY25. The company also recorded a 37% year-on-year increase in average realisation to ₹11,787 per sq. ft. Commenting on the company’s performance, Ashish Puravankara, Managing Director, Puravankara Limited, said, “Q4FY26 was a staggering quarter for Puravankara as we recorded our highest-ever sales; a 37% increase in average realisation and PAT of ₹111 crore. Stock recommendation: ESG - E25 ethanol blending: Opportunities abound, risks remain
The Government of India is reportedly considering a calibrated increase in ethanol blending in petrol from E20 to E25, extending the successful E20 rollout and reinforcing ethanol as a key lever for energy security and transport decarbonization. Our estimate suggests E25 by 2030 could push ethanol demand to ~19.3 bn liters (~12 bn liters now), delivering annual forex savings of ~Rs1,453 bn at current prices and driving a fresh capacity cycle, benefiting ethanol producers and equipment players. While this potential move is structurally positive, risks relating to execution and feedstock availability, water intensity and infrastructure readiness remain.

Stock recommendation: TCS (Reco: Buy, FV: Rs. 3100) - CFO meeting notes
We interacted with Samir Seksaria, CFO of TCS, recently. Key highlights—(1) Enterprises AI adoption lags model capabilities—nearly 95% of enterprises are in the initial phase of AI journey, (2) revenue deflation risk is real if the industry fails to pivot from effort-based to outcome-based pricing, (3) vendor consolidation is high where TCS is the net gainer, (4) good 4QFY26 revenue exit provides buffer against unanticipated macro events in FY2027 and (5) multiple margin headwinds exist though the company is confident of defense. The headwinds include larger productivity commitments, wage hikes and M&A drag. The stock is inexpensive at 15X FY2027E EPS. BUY maintained.
- May 19, 2026 10:30
Stock recommendation: Neogen Chemicals (Reco: Add, FV: Rs. 1770) - Everything comes to him who hustles while he waits’
Neogen reported improved results despite an insignificant contribution from battery chemicals, as inorganic chemicals benefited from firmness in lithium. Capex for the battery chemicals projects has been revised higher and timelines pushed back by a couple of quarters, but this may not matter much if customer approvals come in by end-FY2027. We cut our rating to ADD following the sharp run-up in the stock with a revised FV of Rs1,770.
- May 19, 2026 10:30
Stock recommendation: KIMS (Reco: Reduce, FV: Rs. 695) - Still not there yet
KIMS delivered a ~5% operating miss in 4QFY26, led by higher-than-expected losses in new hospitals due to continued delays in insurance empanelment. Even as core clusters exhibit steady growth and margins, the ongoing expansion across Maharashtra, Karnataka and Kerala continues to weigh on profitability. We expect the gradual ramp-up of new units, alongside stable performance in AP/Telangana, to support earnings recovery hereon and build in a robust ~29% EBITDA CAGR over FY2026-29E. After the recent stock move, we believe the earnings recovery is factored in and hence, down rade KIMS to REDUCE, with an unchanged FV of Rs695.
- May 19, 2026 10:30
Stock recommendation: S H Kelkar & Company (Reco: Buy, FV: Rs. 270) - Margins remain under pressure; the stock is an FY2028 story
SH Kelkar’s (SHK’s) profit margins remained under pressure in 4QFY26 due to liquidation of low-margin inventories and one-off impacts across employee costs and D&A. Near-term input cost pressures in the backdrop of the Iran war are an added headwind. We tweak revenue estimates up 2-3% but trim margin assumptions and raise D&A estimates, resulting in 8-10% cuts to EPS. Our FV, rolled over to June 2027, remains unchanged at Rs270.
- May 19, 2026 10:30
Stock recommendation: KEC International (Reco: Reduce, FV: Rs. 510)- Weak performance; recovery to be gradual
KEC’s 4Q results were below expectations due to weaker-than-expected execution (15% below KIE’s estimate) and lower-than-expected margin performance (70 bps below KIE’s estimate). Working capital was also elevated this quarter. For FY2027, KEC expects to achieve 12-15% revenue growth, led by a large order book of Rs363 bn and order inflow of Rs300 bn (+20% yoy), with recovery from 2HFY27. KEC has refrained from providing a margin guidance due to ongoing uncertainty. We lower FY2027-28E EPS by 24-30%, as we moderate execution, lower margins given the lack of guidance and factor in higher working capital. Our FV decreases to Rs510 (from Rs710) due to the cut in the target multiple to 12X from 13.5X. Maintain REDUCE.
- May 19, 2026 10:29
Stock recommendation: Deepak Nitrite (Reco: Add, FV: Rs. 1950) - Windfall profits may not last beyond a couple of quarters
Deepak Nitrite (DNL) reported sharply improved results for 4QFY26, benefiting from the spike in phenol spreads late in the quarter following the outbreak of the Iran war. However, spreads have corrected sharply in recent weeks, and demand may slow in coming quarters. We raise FY2027E EPS by a sharp 55% to reflect windfall benefits near term, but FY2028E by a more modest 8%. Our revised FV, rolled over to June 2027, moves to Rs1,950.
- May 19, 2026 10:29
Stock recommendation: Amber Enterprise (Reco: Buy, FV: Rs. 8150) - Near-term margin pressure; timely PCB commissioning is key
Amber’s PBT was 17% below our estimates, as in-line EBITDA was offset by higher D&A and interest costs. For FY2027, the RAC and railway segments’ growth of 13-15% and 30-35%, respectively, was in line with expectations, but electronics growth of 40% fell short of our expectation of 50%+ growth. The biggest negative surprise was a 50-100 bps margin decline due to ongoing commodity inflation, especially in the PCB and RAC segments. We cut our FY2027/28E estimates by 33%/13.5%; revise FV to Rs8,150 (from Rs8,500).
- May 19, 2026 10:29
Stock recommendation: Uno Minda (Reco: Sell, FV: Rs. 1000) - Lackluster quarter
Uno Minda reported 4QFY26 EBITDA of Rs6 bn (+14.5% yoy), 5% below our estimates due to a weaker-than-expected gross margin print. We expect the company to outperform the automotive industry, led by (1) increase in content due to premiumization, (2) addition of newer products and (3) order wins across product segments, including EVs. However, we expect margin trends to remain range-bound over the coming years. Stock recommendation: NHPC (Reco: Sell, FV: Rs. 72) - Earnings growth driven by one-offs
NHPC’s 4QFY26 PAT of Rs13 bn (+49% yoy) was supported by a deferred tax credit, as well as PAT contribution of Rs1 bn from Parbati II (as it recognized Rs2 bn of revenue shortfall), and Rs4.9 bn from Subansiri Lower (3X250 MW commissioned in 2HFY26). Normalized earnings from both the projects are subject to finalization of tariff orders, NHPC continues to recognize 80% of revenues till such finalization. NHPC has 8 GW of under-construction hydro projects–it expects to commission the balance of Subansiri (5X250 MW), and another 1.7 GW across three hydro projects (JV/subs) by March 2027E (delayed slightly), while 1.2 GW of u/c renewable projects (commissioning by March 2027E) will aid EBITDA growth. We build some delays across projects. CMP factors the positives at 1.7X P/B (2027E); SELL with unchanged FV of Rs72.

Stock recommendation: Vodafone Idea (Reco: Sell, FV: Rs. 9) - Subscriber base stabilizes, but turnaround is a tall ask
Vi’s reported EBITDA of Rs48.9 bn was above our estimates on a combination of lower subscriber attrition and better ARPU. GoI relief on the AGR front addresses near-term funding issues, while promoter involvement via preferential issue further improves debt raising prospects. We find its three- year EBITDA target ambitious. A combination of external debt raise, equity infusion and operational turnaround is required to meet debt repayments and capex targets—a tall ask. We find the risk-reward unfavorable; revise FV to Rs9, accounting for NPV of revised AGR dues. Retain SELL.
- May 19, 2026 10:28
Stock recommendation: PowerGrid (Reco: Reduce, FV: Rs. 295) - Strong capitalization sets base for improved earnings growth
PWGR closed FY2026 with strong capex of Rs400 bn (+52% yoy) and capitalization of Rs282 bn (+213% yoy)—both exceeding guidance by 13-14%. Management has maintained its capex guidance at Rs370/450 bn and capitalization guidance at Rs300/350 bn for FY2027/28E, with some upside risks. The beat in 4QFY26 PAT at Rs45.5 bn (+10% yoy) was largely led by consultancy revenues, even as transmission profits were unexciting, while FY2026 PAT of Rs159 bn rose a modest 2.6% yoy. CEA’s estimate of Rs7.9 tn transmission capex for non-fossil fuel generation capacities would allow PWGR to achieve Rs400/Rs350 bn of average annual capex/capitalization over FY2029-36E. However, valuations at 16X P/E (2027E) are full; maintain REDUCE with a revised FV of Rs295.

Stock Market Live: Nifty seen opening flat; key support at 23,400,
Gaurav Udani, Founder - Thincredblu Securities, “Nifty is expected to open flat around 23,650, near yesterday’s closing levels, indicating a cautious start after recent volatility.
The index continues to trade near an important zone where both buyers and sellers are active, making today’s price action crucial for short-term direction.
Technically, 23,400 remains the key support level to watch. A break below this could increase selling pressure and push Nifty towards the 23,100 zone. On the upside, 23,650–23,800 continues to act as the immediate resistance range.
The setup currently remains range-bound with a slight cautious bias, as the market is yet to show strong momentum on either side.
Traders should avoid aggressive positions at the open and focus on confirmation near support and resistance levels before initiating fresh trades.”

BOND MARKETS: OIL REMAINS DRIVER, OPENING ROOM FOR REVERSAL
By Dario Messi, Head of Fixed Income Analyst, Julius Baer
Bond markets saw another difficult week, with a sharp sell-off on Friday. Price action remains largely explained by oil prices, including further increases along the curve, which raise concerns about persistent energy-driven inflation. Firmer-than-expected US inflation data earlier in the week added pressure, pushing 10-year Treasury yields back above 4.5%. We view these levels as attractive for gradually extending duration. In our base case, we see easing oil prices. If higher oil prices persist, growth concerns will emerge, limiting the need for further tighter monetary policy. This leaves room for yields to reverse from currently elevated levels.
Bond markets had another difficult week, with a deeper sell-off on Friday, once again largely driven by developments in the oil market. Importantly, it was not only the rise in spot oil prices that weighed on fixed income, but also the move higher further out on the oil futures curve. This raises concerns that energy-related inflation pressures could prove more persistent. At the same time, somewhat firmer-than-anticipated US inflation readings earlier in the week added to the pressure, creating the conditions for a broader bond market sell-off. As a result, the US Treasury 10-year yield moved back above 4.5%, levels which we consider attractive for gradually extending duration exposure in fixed income portfolios. Our baseline scenario remains that oil prices should eventually ease again. Otherwise, growth concerns should emerge and begin to dominate market pricing. In such an environment, we do not believe that central banks would need to deliver on the policy tightening that is currently priced in. In particular, the market’s reassessment of the policy path beyond 2026, i.e. including expectations for 2027, appears closer to a very hawkish scenario, in our view. From current yield levels, this leaves room for a meaningful reversal should inflation risks moderate or growth momentum soften again.

Consolidated sales growth was supported by stable demand across key product categories aided by capacity additions and new product introductions during the year. The baby hygiene segment also recorded positive growth, driven by improved capacity utilization and healthy consumer demand.
In the domestic market, demand remained stable across categories, led by our distribution strength and differentiated product offerings. Our export business demonstrated resilience during FY26, despite global uncertainties including trade tensions, geopolitical conflicts, and regional instability, indicating steady demand for our products in international markets.
