Six Injured After Speeding Car Rams Parked Vehicles In Thane’s Kalyan Area

Two of the injured sustained serious injuries and are currently undergoing treatment at a private hospital. The remaining four suffered minor injuries.

At least six people were injured in a major road accident that took place on Thursday morning in the Vertex area of Kalyan West in Thane district.

According to officials, the driver of a speeding four-wheeler suddenly lost control of the vehicle, which then rammed into three to four parked vehicles along the road.

The driver of the car, identified as Dr. Sanjay Bendale, has been detained by the Khadakpada Police Station.

Two of the injured sustained serious injuries and are currently undergoing treatment at a private hospital. The remaining four suffered minor injuries.

The impact of the crash was severe, leaving two two-wheelers heavily damaged. Local residents rushed to the spot immediately after the accident and helped shift the injured to a nearby hospital.

Police said an investigation is underway to determine the exact cause of the accident.
