Sotefin Bharat Ltd. is set to make its stock market debut on the BSE SME platform on Thursday, July 23, with grey market trends indicating a subdued listing. The company's shares are commanding a marginal premium of around 1% over the issue price of Rs 187, suggesting a largely flat market debut.

Despite the muted grey market sentiment, the Rs 89.76-crore SME IPO witnessed healthy investor participation during the subscription period. The issue was subscribed 3.78 times overall, reflecting steady demand across investor categories. The retail investor portion was subscribed 3.78 times, while the non-institutional investor (NII) segment received 4.74 times subscription. The qualified institutional buyer (QIB) category was subscribed 2.82 times.

The IPO, which was entirely a fresh issue of 48 lakh equity shares, opened for subscription on July 16 and closed on July 20, with the allotment finalised on July 21.

The company had fixed the IPO price band at Rs 178-187 per share, with investors required to apply for a minimum of 600 shares. Retail investors had to bid for at least two lots (1,200 shares), translating into a minimum investment of Rs 2,24,400 at the upper price band.

Choice Capital Advisors Pvt. Ltd. acted as the book-running lead manager to the issue, while Bigshare Services Pvt. Ltd. served as the registrar. Choice Equity Broking Pvt. Ltd. is the designated market maker for the IPO.

Sotefin Bharat raised Rs 25.58 crore from anchor investors on July 15.

IPO proceeds to fuel expansion

The company intends to utilise the net proceeds from the IPO to strengthen its manufacturing capabilities and support its expansion plans. A significant portion of the funds, Rs 20.13 crore, will be used to establish a new manufacturing facility in Kolkata, West Bengal. Additionally, Rs 8.17 crore has been earmarked for setting up new office premises.

Additionally, Rs 40 crore will be deployed to meet the company's working capital requirements, with the remaining proceeds allocated to general corporate purposes.
