Stock Market closing: Dalal Street remained on a firm footing on Tuesday, February 10 -- with benchmark indices rising in early trade, supported by positive global cues, strong FII buying and sharp gains in PSU banking stocks.

The Sensex and Nifty closed in green territory on Tuesday. The BSE Sensex, after hitting an intraday high of 84,482.95, ended the session at 84,273.92, up 208.17 points or 0.25 per cent. The NSE Nifty50 settled at 25,935.15, up 67.85 points or 0.26 per cent. During the day Nifty50 swung between 25,989.45 and 25,870.45. Sensex and Nifty opened in green today. The BSE Sensex started at 84,210, while the Nifty 50 opened at 25,922.65.
