Old Bridge Mutual Fund today announced the launch of the Old Bridge Flexi Cap Fund, an open-ended dynamic equity scheme that invests across large-cap, mid-cap and small-cap stocks, offering investors the flexibility to navigate market cycles through a single diversified portfolio.

The New Fund Offer (NFO) of the Old Bridge Flexi Cap Fund will open on February 13, 2026, and closes on February 23, 2026.The scheme is offered at an initial price of ₹10 per unit, with a minimum investment of ₹5,000 for lump-sum applications and ₹1,000 for SIPs.

The fund follows a bottom-up, business-by-business investment approach, with capital allocation driven by quality of business and longevity of growth, rather than mechanical allocation across market capitalisations. The strategy allows flexibility to dynamically shift exposure across market segments based on evolving risk-reward conditions and market cycles.

The Old Bridge Flexi Cap Fund will be managed by Kenneth Andrade, Founder and Chief Investment Officer of Old Bridge Asset Management Private Limited, who brings over 34 years of experience in Indian capital markets and a strong track record in portfolio management and investment research.

Commenting on the launch, Kenneth Andrade, CIO, Old Bridge Asset Management said,“Market cycles are constantly evolving, and past winners do not necessarily remain future winners. A flexi-cap approach allows us to combine the stability of large caps, the alpha potential of mid caps, and the opportunity of small caps, while remaining disciplined on valuation, balance-sheet strength, and capital protection. The objective is to own durable businesses and allow compounding to play out over time.”

The fund will benchmark itself against the BSE 500 TRI and will be available under Direct and Regular plans, with Growth and IDCW options.

Stock market live today: Ross Maxwell, Global Strategy Operations Lead, VT Markets Gold’s Rally to $6,000 Depends on Falling Real Rates and Rising Uncertainty

For Gold to hit $6,000 it would mean an increase of roughly 20% from current levels. Such a move usually only occurs in crisis conditions, especially when we have already seen such a strong increase in price over the last 18-24 months. This would require extreme macro conditions. We would need to see a combination of sharp USD weakness, aggressive rate cuts, sustained central bank buying, high inflation fears, and a major geopolitical or financial shock, as gold typically performs best when real interest rates fall and uncertainty rises.

Whilst $6,000 is possible over the long term under current trends such as de-dollarisation, persistent inflation, and reserve diversification, it would be unlikely to be anytime soon unless we see a combination of the factors mentioned or there is significant global disruption.

Quote: Gaurav Garg, Research Analyst at Lemonn Markets Desk

Gold and silver prices rallied on 11 February, supported by positive global cues and renewed safe-haven demand amid expectations of a more accommodative US Federal Reserve stance. MCX gold rose nearly 1%, reclaiming levels above ₹1.58 lakh per 10 grams, while spot gold hovered near a two-week high. Silver outperformed with around a 3% gain, crossing ₹2.60 lakh/kg on MCX as spot prices climbed near $83/oz. Investor sentiment strengthened after softer US economic data raised hopes of rate cuts and signalled slowing growth. Additional support came from continued central bank buying and lingering geopolitical tensions. In the near term, precious metals are expected to remain volatile as markets track upcoming US jobs and inflation data for policy direction.

Stock market live updates: Textile stocks react to US-Bangladesh tariff news; experts urge selective approach

Jashan Arora, Director, Master Trust Group

As per the latest understanding, tariff rates on Bangladesh have been reduced to 19% from 20% and compared with India’s 18%. Indicating that India continues to retain a marginal tariff advantage over neighbouring countries. However, the US-Bangladesh trade agreement’s provision granting zero-tariff access on select textile categories could be a key beneficiary for Bangladesh and could alter the competitive dynamics. The market’s sharp reaction in textile stocks reflects concern around near-term revenue visibility and pricing pressure in the sector. However, India continues to hold structural advantages across scale, supply chain integration and established global buyer relationships. That said, a sudden exit from the sector is not recommended and instead investors should reassess their portfolio exposure by identifying companies with structural strengths such niche product positioning or superior cost efficiencies. Businesses with diversified export geographies and relatively stronger margin profiles are likely to better withstand the competitive disruptions. In the current uncertain environment for businesses, identifying differentiated pockets will be more effective than broad-based exposure to the entire sector for investors.

The US-Bangladesh news is a sectoral inflection point, not an apocalypse. It will accelerate the divide between low-cost, commoditized exporters and agile, value-added, and diversified textile players. The investor’s task is to identify which side of this divide their holdings—or potential investments—stand on. For the strong, this correction is an opportunity. For the weak, not so much. Discernment, not reaction, will be the key to navigating this spin cycle.

Financial markets update: Bitcoin holds near $69,000; $68k support critical as ETF inflows return and macro data eyed

    Vikram Subburaj, CEO, Giottus.com

    February 11, 2026

Bitcoin traded on a fragile footing on Tuesday. It hovered around $68,900 after failing to sustain rebounds above the $70,000 mark. This underscored the market’s continued sensitivity to macro cues and positioning flows. Data from multiple desks showed the world’s largest crypto asset oscillating between roughly $67,900 and $70,300 intraday. The price action was largely dictated by defensive sentiment rather than fresh risk appetite.

From a technical standpoint, analysts continue to flag the $68,000-$70,000 band as immediate support. A decisive break below this zone could expose Bitcoin to a deeper retracement towards $64,000. This level is aligned with prior consolidation and key Fibonacci retracement levels. On the upside, resistance remains layered near $72,000, followed by a heavier supply zone around $75,000-$76,000. At this range, previous support has flipped into selling pressure.

On-chain indicators during the February 9-11 window pointed to late-stage corrective behaviour rather than outright capitulation. Glassnode data highlighted elevated transfer volumes and a rise in unrealised losses. This pointed to weaker hands getting flushed out, even as signs of seller exhaustion also emerged. Futures open interest, however, remained subdued and reflected limited conviction among leveraged traders.

ETF flows offered a mildly constructive counterpoint. US spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded net inflows of about $145 million on February 9 and $140 million on February 10. This marked a tentative return of institutional dip-buying after heavy outflows earlier in the month. February 11 flow data was awaited at the time of writing.

Macro conditions continued to dominate sentiment. Markets were closely watching upcoming US inflation and labour data releases. These will shape expectations around the Federal Reserve’s policy path. Rate cuts are still pencilled in for later in 2026, but the recent Fed commentary has reinforced a data-dependent stance. So, treasury yields may remain firm and thereby limit the upside for risk assets, including crypto.

Altcoins tracked Bitcoin’s choppy tone with selective resilience. Ethereum traded near $2,030, modestly higher on the day. BNB and XRP posted small gains. Stablecoins USDT and USDC remained flat and reflected a cautious, wait-and-watch stance among investors. Overall, the crypto market appears stuck in a consolidation phase. It looks resilient enough to avoid a sharp breakdown, but lacks the macro clarity and liquidity impulse to sustain a meaningful recovery.

Our advice: For BTC, the $68,000 zone is now the first line of defence. If this gives way, the market’s recent ‘washout’ area near $60,000 comes back into view. Prudent traders are watching for a clean reclaim of $70,000 and then ~$71,000 as near-term resistance before risk appetite can credibly rebuild. In this tape, keep position sizes modest, avoid leverage, and use staggered buys only if $68k holds. If not, prioritise capital protection and wait for stability signals. Importantly, this is a compelling accumulation price point for long-term investors to buy BTC. They should not infuse risk-assessed levels of capital through instruments like crypto SIPs. For them, the upside can be huge in the next run.

Yields firm up as RBI salutes the status quo on rates and remains fluid on liquidity

A combination of high Union borrowing plan, expectation of hefty borrowing by States with large States such as TN, Gujarat, West Bengal and Kerala approaching election year, and a stiff upper lip on policy & liquidity exhibited by the RBI has created upward pressure on yields. 10Y benchmark Union G-sec yields are up ~25 bps between the Dec’25 and now despite a cut in the Dec’25 policy. Easier liquidity has meant that lower tenor yields have tanked below the repo, creating a steep yield curve. Going forward, it is expected that the RBI will carefully modulate liquidity, using two-sided operations

Fiscal headroom is now reducing as government chalks out hefty borrowing programme

The Union managed is likely to reach its fiscal deficit target in FY26, and a modest improvement is pencilled in for FY27. However, this itself may be hard to achieve. Tax revenue projections appear rosy in light of muted nominal GDP growth expectations and GST collections will be impacted by rate rationalisation. On the expenditure side, budgeting for subsidies and pensions seems to be on the lower side, and an overshoot could prompt revision in revex figures. In any case, the government has outlined a monumental Rs. 17.2 trn gross borrowing programme. FY27 could see a greater dependence on shorter tenor borrowing by the Union as indicated by increased T-bill outstanding projected, to take advantage of the steep yield curve.

Union Budget seeks to manufacture growth, filling in gaps left by previous Budgets

The Union Budget recognised that further measures were needed to boost the manufacturing segment, which has shown greenshoots in the previous few quarters. Towards this, initiatives were mooted in sectors such as bio-pharma. Further, after a lull period, capex allocations to both Roads and Railways saw a healthy boost in FY27BE (vs. FY26RE). The effective capex has grown at a sharper pace vs. Union capex, indicating that while the Union is willing to shoulder the responsibility of the core sectors, it expects the States and private bodies to shoulder the burden of capex in other sectors.

Currency concerns diminish, affording RBI an opportunity to rebuild its toolkit

The INR responded to the news of the deal by quickly appreciating from historic lows. Foreign investors too reposed their confidence in the Indian equity markets, pumping in USD 1.3 bn in MTDFeb’26 as against over USD 6 bn withdrawn in 10MFY26. These factors mean that the pressure on the external front stands diminished, allowing the RBI to shore up any forex it had spent to prop up the INR in the past. Importantly, it keeps the option of doing swaps to help domestic INR liquidity open.

Historic trade deals signed with the USA and EU set to put India at a comparative advantage vis-à-vis peers

India was amongst the countries left with the highest tariffs (50%) imposed by the US relative to other emerging markets towards the end of CY25. Come CY26, and things turned a leaf as India not only signed a deal with the US, but also the EU. The US deal promises 18% tariffs on most items, with a removal of the punitive levy of 25% which had been imposed due to Russian oil imports. Multiple sectors, including textiles, leather, plastic, rubber, organic chemicals, seafood etc. are expected to benefit from the move, with duty free access for nearly half of India’s exports to the US market. While an overall positive for the economy, the impact of the deal on cost of the Indian energy import basket, besides the impact of items in Section 232 (mainly metals), is yet to be fully felt

Edelweiss Financial Services Ltd Q3FY26 Concall Highlights

    Mcap- Rs11,500 Cr

    CMP- Rs- 121

    Group Financial Performance (Q3 FY26 and 9MFY26)

The group reported steady improvement in profitability and scale. For nine months ended December 2025, consolidated PAT was Rs 549 Cr, up 45% YoY, while post-minority PAT was Rs 459 Cr, up 56% YoY. Consolidated revenue for 9MFY26 stood at Rs 8,896 Cr. For Q3FY26, consolidated PAT was Rs 270 Cr and revenue was Rs 4,715 Cr, supported by strong performance in asset management, insurance and credit businesses. Underlying businesses continued to show stable growth, while consolidated numbers also reflected stake sale gains and certain exceptional items.

    Business Model and P&L Structure

Management explained that Edelweiss’ consolidated P&L has two parts: operating businesses and the corporate/holding company. Operating businesses generate steady, growing profits and are independently managed with their own boards and capital. The corporate entity undertakes capital allocation, treasury support and incubation of new businesses, but its P&L is more volatile due to interest costs, dividends, capital gains and stake sales. The focus remains on growing business PAT at ~20% annually and reducing corporate debt, which has been taken earlier to support subsidiaries.

    Alternative Asset Management (EAAA)

The alternatives platform remains a key growth engine. Fee-paying AUM grew 33% YoY to about Rs 41,920 Cr. Fundraising momentum is strong with ~Rs 7,500+ Cr raised in nine months, and management expects to sustain ~20%+ AUM growth. The platform is multi-strategy across private credit and real assets. Real assets now form a larger share with focus on operating assets in roads, energy, renewables and commercial real estate. New funds such as Performing Credit Fund IV and sector InvITs in energy and transportation are seeing traction. EAAA’s DRHP has been filed, and listing is targeted within the usual 4–6 month IPO timeline, primarily to create visibility, unlock value and support corporate deleveraging.

    Mutual Fund Business

The mutual fund business showed strong traction with equity AUM up 33% YoY to ~Rs 83,000 Cr and total AUM growth of ~18% YoY. SIP book crossed Rs 500 Cr monthly, up ~55% YoY, and retail folios reached ~34 lakh. Growth is driven by branch expansion, deeper distributor engagement, product innovation and consistent performance rather than star-manager concentration. Tier 2 and 3 cities are key growth areas. Profitability is improving alongside AUM scale.

    Asset Reconstruction (ARC)

ARC continues to focus on recoveries from legacy assets, with Rs 842 Cr recovered in the quarter. Retail assets now form ~25% of capital deployed versus ~15% a year ago, showing diversification beyond large corporate NPAs. The business is currently in a recovery cycle for the industry, with slower new acquisitions due to lower system NPAs. The ARC entity is over-capitalized, and excess capital is being returned via dividends to improve ROE and support group deleveraging.

    NBFC and MSME Lending

The MSME business has restarted growth after balance sheet clean-up. Disbursements rose sharply, with monthly run-rate moving from ~Rs 25–30 Cr earlier to ~Rs 100+ Cr now. Growth is supported by a new leadership team, technology investments, new products and branch additions. Asset quality metrics remain controlled, and the wholesale book has been reduced significantly YoY.

Housing Finance and Carlyle Transaction (Nido)

Carlyle is investing about Rs 2,100 Cr in the housing finance subsidiary Nido through a mix of secondary purchase (~Rs 600 Cr) and primary capital infusion (~Rs 1,500 Cr). Post transaction, Carlyle will hold ~74% stake, while Edelweiss will retain ~26%, with Aditya Puri also participating as an investor in his personal capacity. The primary infusion significantly strengthens Nido’s equity base, positioning the platform for faster scale-up in affordable housing. The stake sale provides capital to Edelweiss for corporate deleveraging, while retaining a minority stake allows participation in future value creation. Management views the transaction as positive for capital, expertise and long-term franchise building.

    Insurance Businesses

General insurance delivered strong growth with GWP up ~47% YoY in Q3, supported largely by motor insurance and higher auto sales. Life insurance saw ~15% YoY growth in gross premium and continued focus on traditional par and non-par products. Combined insurance losses have reduced materially over the last two years, and both businesses remain on track toward break-even. GST changes and labour code impacts created some one-time or near-term pressures, but management expects to offset these through product mix, cost control and regulatory developments like IFRS and risk-based capital.

    Corporate Debt and Deleveraging Plan

Corporate net debt is around Rs 6,500 Cr, of which ~Rs 1,500 Cr is backed by office properties and considered normal. The effective business-linked debt is ~Rs 5,000 Cr. Planned reductions through the Nido deal, EAAA IPO, mutual fund stake sale and dividends from subsidiaries could address ~Rs 4,000+ Cr over ~18 months. The stated target is to bring corporate debt below Rs 3,000 Cr, with only ~Rs 1,500 Cr as core debt. Management expressed confidence in execution given past track record on deleveraging and value unlocks.

    Customer Franchise and Balance Sheet

Customer base grew ~31% YoY to nearly 13 million and customer assets reached ~Rs 2.4 Tn, indicating strong franchise traction. The group maintains comfortable liquidity (~Rs 5,600 Cr) and strong capitalization across businesses with capital adequacy near ~30% in credit entities. Overall, management reiterated focus on growth, profitability of operating businesses and disciplined balance sheet management.
