Pandit Dhirendra Shastri stopped his car, walked to the sweet shop, and sat beside the owner without ceremony. A tilak, a garland, and quiet blessings followed, drawing attention

Parking his vehicle outside, Pandit Dhirendra Shastri walked straight into the shop without any formalities, sat on the sweet shop owner’s seat, and casually asked for sweets.
Bageshwar Dham’s head priest and well-known storyteller, Pandit Dhirendra Krishna Shastri, frequently makes headlines for his statements and public appearances.
On Saturday night in Chhatarpur, Madhya Pradesh, people once again witnessed his distinctive style.
Late-Night Visit To A Sweet Shop
Pandit Dhirendra Krishna Shastri made an unexpected stop at a sweet shop located at Chhatrasal Square late at night. At the time, the shop owner, Ashok Agarwal, was preparing to close for the day. Seeing Baba Bageshwar suddenly arrive at his shop so late left him stunned.
Dhirendra Shastri parked his vehicle outside the shop and walked in without any formal arrangements or prior notice. He sat on Ashok Agarwal’s seat and asked for sweets. In response, the shop owner applied a tilak, placed a garland around his neck, and sought his blessings.
From Chhena Rasgulla To Rasmalai
Baba Bageshwar first tasted chhena rasgulla, followed by rasmalai. During the visit, he humorously called out, “Take some laddoo, take some barfi, take some peda," drawing smiles and laughter from those present. His simple and approachable manner was widely appreciated.
Ashok Agarwal described the visit as a blessing for his family. He said people often wait for months to meet Baba Bageshwar, and his sudden midnight visit to their small shop became an unforgettable moment in their lives.
Not The First Such Visit In Chhatarpur
This was not the first time Baba Bageshwar has been seen among the public in Chhatarpur. On earlier occasions, he has also been spotted visiting chaat and samosa shops, interacting casually with people.
During the same period, Assistant Sub-Inspector Surendra Kumar was on duty at the event. Baba Bageshwar is known for noticing everyone around him, whether political leaders, actors, or personnel in uniform.
Incident During Hanumant Katha In Satna
Two days earlier, Pandit Dhirendra Krishna Shastri was conducting a Hanumant Katha in Shivrajpur, located in the Nagod block of MP’s Satna district. During the programme, an incident described as miraculous by attendees took place.
ASI Surendra Kumar, posted at Dharkundi police station in Satna, was assigned duty at the event. While remaining focused on his responsibilities, he thought to himself that although Baba listens to everyone, meeting him in such a large crowd while on duty would be difficult. He wondered whether Pandit Dhirendra Krishna Shastri would call him.
According to those present, moments after this thought crossed his mind, Dhirendra Shastri signalled ASI Surendra Kumar to come forward. Smiling, he reportedly said, “You were thinking whether I would call you or not, right?" Overwhelmed, Surendra Kumar became emotional and responded, “Maharaj ji, I was certain you would call me. You heard what was in my soul."
