The Telangana government has undertaken Health Facility Registry (HFR) mapping under the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM) to ensure seamless linkage of digital health records across healthcare institutions, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare informed the Rajya Sabha on Tuesday.

The Health Facility Registry is a comprehensive database of healthcare facilities registered under ABDM. It captures details of hospitals, clinics and other health institutions, creating a centralised digital repository that enables patients to locate services and allows for better interoperability of health records.

Responding to a question raised by MP K. Laxman regarding the strengthening of primary healthcare under Ayushman Bharat in Telangana, Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare Prataprao Jadhav stated that 1.82 lakh Ayushman Arogya Mandirs (AAMs) have been operationalised across the country, including 5,050 in Telangana.

AAMs provide 12 packages of comprehensive primary healthcare services across urban, rural and tribal areas. These include reproductive and child healthcare, management of communicable and non-communicable diseases, palliative and elderly care, treatment for common mental disorders and neurological conditions such as epilepsy and dementia, and management of substance use disorders including tobacco, alcohol and drug dependence. Oral health, ENT care and basic emergency services are also included.

On the digital front, the national telemedicine platform eSanjeevani has been integrated with the ABDM. As per information shared by the Telangana government, 27.72 lakh Ayushman Bharat Health Accounts (ABHA) have been created in the State through the eSanjeevani platform, expanding access to teleconsultations and digital health services, the Minister said.
