‘The Office US’ cast: Where the Dunder Mifflin folks are now
Over ten years since the last episode, ‘The Office US’ is still one of the all-time favorites. This mockumentary about the oddball staff at Dunder Mifflin in Scranton, Pennsylvania, first hit screens in 2005 and stuck around for nine seasons, wrapping up in 2013. It started as an American spin on Ricky Gervais’s British comedy but turned into something much bigger, changing the way sitcoms worked and making stars out of a bunch of mostly unknown actors.
Since the show ended, the Dunder Mifflin crew has gone in all sorts of directions. Some became full-blown Hollywood stars. Others got busy behind the camera as writers and producers. A few started podcasts, wrote books, or jumped onto the stage. Even with their own projects, the cast sticks together: reuniting for interviews, podcasts, and other projects that keep The Office alive for longtime fans.
So, where are the folks from Dunder Mifflin now? Here’s what they’ve been up to.

Steve Carell (Michael)
What’s Steve doing these days? After his unforgettable run as Michael Scott, Carell became one of Hollywood’s most sought-after actors, bouncing between TV and movies. He returned to TV with ‘The Morning Show’, sharing the screen with Reese Witherspoon and Jennifer Aniston, and even snagged an Emmy nomination. He also starred in ‘Space Force’ and ‘The Patient’, taking on executive producer duties for both.
On the movie side, Carell leans toward drama. He’s shown up in ‘Beautiful Boy’, ‘The Big Short’, ‘Battles of the Sexes’, ‘Welcome to Marwen’, and ‘Vice’. His role in ‘Foxcatcher’ even got him an Oscar nomination. But he’s no stranger to comedy; think ‘Crazy, Stupid, Love’, ‘Anchorman’, ‘The 40-Year-Old Virgin’, and ‘Little Miss Sunshine’. He’s also the voice of Gru in the ‘Despicable Me’ movies.

John Krasinski (Jim)
Krasinski’s career took off after ‘The Office US’. He directed and starred in ‘A Quiet Place’ with his wife, Emily Blunt, and the movie was a smash hit in 2018. The sequel came out in 2020, and a third film, ‘A Quiet Place: Day One’, arrived in 2024. That same year, he released ‘IF’, which he wrote and directed.
On TV, Krasinski played Jack Ryan in the hit series. Through his production company, he also helped bring Lip Sync Battle and ‘Manchester By the Sea’ to life as an executive producer.
He and Blunt married at George Clooney’s place in Lake Como back in 2008. They have two daughters, Hazel and Violet.

Jenna Fischer (Pam)
Fischer starred in the sitcom ‘Splitting Up Together’ with Oliver Hudson, which ended in 2019. She’s also appeared in movies and TV shows like ‘Blades of Glory’, ‘The 15:17 to Paris’, ‘You, Me and the Apocalypse’, ‘Brad’s Status’, and the new Mean Girls movie.
In 2017, she wrote her first book, ‘The Actor’s Life: A Survival Guide’, where Steve Carell even wrote the introduction. In 2019, she teamed up with Angela Kinsey to launch ‘Office Ladies’, a podcast all about their days on ‘The Office US’.
Jenna married screenwriter Lee Kirk in 2010, and they have two kids: Weston and Harper. In 2024, she shared that she’d been diagnosed with Stage 1 Triple Positive Breast Cancer the year before but is now cancer-free after surgery, chemo, and radiation.

Rainn Wilson (Dwight)
After NBC passed on a Dwight spinoff, Wilson starred in ‘Backstrom’ and appeared on shows like ‘Star Trek: Discovery’, ‘Mom’, ‘Lessons in Chemistry’, ‘Dark Winds’, and ‘Utopia’. On the movie side, you’ll find him in ‘Empire Waist’, ‘Weird: The Al Yankovic Story’, and ‘Jerry and Marge Go Large’.
He’s also big into podcasting, launching shows like ‘Soul Boom’ and ‘Metaphysical Milkshake’, and has done voice work for animated series like ‘Hitpig’ and ‘Solar Opposites’.

Angela Kinsey (Angela)
What’s Angela Kinsey been up to? She’s kept busy acting in shows like ‘Tall Girl’, ‘Haters Back Off’, ‘Fresh Off the Boat’, and ‘Never Have I Ever’, which was, in fact, created by her old Office pal Mindy Kaling. Angela’s also shown up as a host, running a cooking competition ‘Be Our Chef’ and co-hosting the ‘Office Ladies’ podcast with her real-life best friend and former castmate Jenna Fischer. On the personal side, she shares a daughter with her ex, Warren Lieberstein (her Office castmate Paul Lieberstein’s brother), and she married Joshua Snyder in 2016.

Mindy Kaling (Kelly)
Mindy Kaling has basically become one of Hollywood’s busiest writers. Her hit, ‘The Mindy Project’, ran from 2012 to 2017. After that, she created ‘Champions’, the ‘Four Weddings and a Funeral’ limited series, ‘Never Have I Ever’, ‘The Sex Lives of College Girls’, and most recently, ‘Running Point’. She’s not just behind the scenes, either. Mindy’s acted in films like ‘Ocean’s Eight’, ‘Late Night’, and ‘A Wrinkle in Time’, plus TV shows like ‘The Morning Show’. She’s even lent her voice to animated favorites like ‘Disgust in Inside Out’, ‘Velma in Velma’, and Taffyta Muttonfudge in ‘Wreck-It Ralph’.
On the family front, Mindy welcomed her daughter Katherine in 2017, kept the father’s identity private, and then had her son Spencer three years later. In 2024, she announced her daughter Anne had arrived. As for her Office friendships, she’s still super close with B.J. Novak, whom he dated back in the day. They still show up at events together, and he even gave her the speech when she got her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

B.J. Novak (Ryan)
B.J. Novak has appeared in movies like ‘The Founder’, shows like ‘The Mindy Project’ and ‘The Newsroom’, and even played himself on ‘Crazy Ex-Girlfriend’. Right after ‘The Office US’, B.J. published a book of short stories, ‘One More Thing’, which landed on the New York Times Bestsellers List for weeks. He worked on a secret Blumhouse horror movie called ‘Vengeance’. The production paused for the pandemic, but it finally came out in 2022. Lately, he’s been in ‘Lessons in Chemistry’ and ‘Poker Face’. And for the record, he and Mindy Kaling still have that close bond.

Ed Helms (Andy)
Since ‘The Office US’, Ed Helms has starred in ‘The Hangover’ movies, the Vacation remake from 2013, and films like ‘Family Switch’, ‘Love the Coopers’, ‘Coffee & Kareem’, and ‘Father Figures’. On TV, he’s been in ‘Rutherford Falls’, hosted ‘True Story’ with Randall Park, and voiced characters in things like ‘Agent Elvis’ and ‘Captain Underpants: The First Epic Movie’.

Ellie Kemper (Erin)
Ellie Kemper didn’t slow down either. She starred in her show, ‘Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt’, which wrapped up in January 2019. She’s popped up in movies like ‘Bridesmaids’, ‘Home Sweet Home Alone’, and ‘Happiness for Beginners’. Ellie’s also voiced characters in ‘Sofia the First’, ‘Eureka!’, ‘The Secret Life of Pets’, and ‘The Lego Batman Movie’. On top of all that, she wrote a book called ‘My Squirrel Days’.

Paul Lieberstein (Toby)
Paul Lieberstein didn’t just play Toby; he was also ‘The Office US’s showrunner for several seasons. Talk about HR duties! After that, he became showrunner for ‘Ghosted’, worked as executive producer on ‘The Newsroom’, wrote and directed the comedy ‘Song of Back and Neck’, and produced ‘Lucky Hanky’. In 2020, he popped up in a talked-about Super Bowl ad for Fox, playing a very Toby-like character trying to keep people from taking off work for ‘Super Monday’. Classic Toby move!

Oscar Nunez (Oscar)
Oscar Nunez has kept busy, too. Since ‘The Office US’, he’s acted in ‘Baywatch’, ‘Shameless’, ‘People of Earth’, ‘The 5th Quarter’, and ‘Mr. Iglesias’. He’s also been in ‘The Proposal’, ‘Reno 911!’, ‘The Lost City’, ‘The School Duel’, ‘Out of Office’, and holiday movies like ‘Dashing Through the Snow’ and ‘A Christmas Mystery’. Kids might recognize his voice as Chef Fernando in ‘Firebuds’. The audience loved seeing him reprise his Office role in the new ‘The Paper’, set in the same universe.

Brian Baumgartner (Kevin)
Turns out, Brian Baumgartner didn’t sit idle after ‘The Office US’. In fact, his legendary chili actually scored him a sponsorship with ‘Bush’s Beans’. He also kept busy with acting gigs on shows like ‘Suits: L.A.’, ‘Hand of God’, ‘Good Behavior’, ‘Life in Pieces’, and ‘The Goldbergs’. He also starred in ‘Electric Jesus’, lent his voice to the animated series ‘Trash Truck’, and teamed up again with Angela Kinsey for the 2024 Hallmark movie ‘Confessions of a Christmas Letter’. On top of all that, Brian hosts his own podcast, ‘Off the Beat With Brian Baumgartner’.

Kate Flannery (Meredith)
Kate’s been all over the place since ‘The Office US’. She popped up on TV in ‘Night Court’, ‘All Night’, ‘Aussie Girl’, and ‘PBC’, and she’s voiced characters in ‘Steven Universe’, ‘OK K.O.! Let’s Be Heroes’, ‘Summer Camp Island’, and ‘Kiff’. You might’ve seen her in movies like ‘Cooties’, ‘Micro Budget’, and ‘Plan B’. She’s also still rocking the stage with her musical comedy act, ‘The Lampshades’. In 2019, Kate hit the dance floor on ‘Dancing With the Stars’, landing in seventh place alongside her partner Pasha Pashkov.

Leslie David Baker (Stanley)
Leslie hasn’t slowed down since his time as Stanley. He’s racked up credits in ‘Jackpot!’, ‘The Happytime Murders’, ‘Wish I Was Here’, ‘Still the King’, ‘Hard Miles’, and ‘Raven’s Home’, just to name a few. He’s also done voice work for animated shows and movies like ‘Puppy Dog Pals’, ‘Doug Unplugs’, and ‘Vivo’.

Phyllis Smith (Phyllis)
As for Phyllis—yes, her real name is also Phyllis—she went from the office to the big screen, nailing the role of Sadness in the ‘Inside Out’ movies. She’s also shown up in ‘The OA’, ‘Barb and Star Go to Vista Del Mar’, and ‘Nunsense’.

Creed Bratton (Creed Bratton)
To everyone’s surprise, Creed is still out there doing his thing: probably more than you’d expect. He’s acted in projects like ‘Bart Bagalzby and the Garbage Genie’, ‘The Sisters Brothers’, and ‘Hero Mode’, plus a bunch of shorts, including ‘Portland Is the New Portland’. But that’s not all. Creed’s also a musician, with albums like ‘Tao Pop’ and ‘While the Young Punks Dance’. He’s toured the world, blending his music and comedy on stage.
