A 25-year-old motorcyclist, identified as Kamal Dhyani, was found dead after his bike plunged into a 17-ft-deep pit dug for construction work in West Delhi’s Janakpuri area.

Days after a motorcyclist was found dead inside a massive pit at a road construction site in West Delhi’s Janakpuri area, his postmortem report has revealed shocking facts. According to sources, the 25-year-old Kamal Dhyani’s mouth and nose were filled with mud after falling into the pothole.
As per the postmortem report, Kamal’s bike fell on his waist, causing him to suffocate. The cause of his death was found to be “traumatic asphyxia and suffocation", initial findings suggested.
Kamal’s mouth was stuck in the mud after falling into the pothole, sources informed, citing the postmortem report. The weight of the bike falling on his waist caused him to have difficulty in breathing. The mud stuck in his nose and mouth caused him to suffocate.
Additionally, a burn mark was also found on Kamal’s right thigh, which is speculated to have been caused by the bike’s silencer.
Delhi Biker Dies After Crashing Into Jal Board Pit
A 25-year-old motorcyclist, identified as Kamal Dhyani, was found dead after his bike plunged into a 17-ft-deep pit dug for construction work in West Delhi’s Janakpuri area. Following this, his family members and friends accused the authorities of negligence and delay.
The accident took place while Kamal was returning home from his workplace in Rohini when he spoke to them for the last time.
Water Minister Parvesh Verma has announced an ex gratia of Rs 10 lakh for the family of the deceased.
Meanwhile, the Delhi Jal Board has also set up a committee to probe the death of the motorcyclist and assured that strict action will be taken if negligence is found at any level. Responding to the incident, the board expressed “deep sorrow" over the tragic accident that occurred at the pipeline rehabilitation project site in Janakpuri.
