Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced on Monday that he will travel to the United States this week to discuss the possible supply of long-range weapons to Ukraine . The visit comes a day after US President Donald Trump cautioned Russia, saying he may authorize the transfer of Tomahawk missiles to Kyiv.
Zelenskyy said a meeting with President Trump could take place as early as Friday. During his trip, the Ukrainian leader also plans to meet with key members of Congress , as well as representatives from major defence and energy firms.
“The main topics will be air defence and our long-range capabilities, to maintain pressure on Russia,” Zelenskyy said, underlining Kyiv’s continued push for stronger military support amid ongoing conflict.
