Vijayakumar named Industries secretary; Arun Roy Higher Education secretary

In a reshuffle of IAS officers, the Tamil Nadu government on Thursday posted S. Vijayakumar as the Secretary of the Industries, Investment Promotion and Commerce Department. It also posted V. Arun Roy as the secretary of the Higher Education Department.

P. Umanath is set to assume office as the Chairman and Managing Director of the Tamil Nadu Civil Supplies Corporation. N. Subbaiyan was posted as the secretary of Adi Dravidar and Tribal Welfare Department, while R. Jaya was posted as the Chief Resident Commissioner of the Tamil Nadu House in New Delhi. M.S. Shanmugam is set to assume office as the Commissioner of Tourism and would also function as the Managing Director of Tamil Nadu Tourism Development Corporation.

A. Arun Thamburaj was posted as the Director of the Information and Public Relations and ex-officio Additional Secretary of the Tamil Development and Information Department. K. Elambahavath was posted as the Salem Collector. R. Brindha Devi was posted as the Director of Arts and Culture.
