Vivo is set to launch its new V70 smartphone series in India on February 19, expanding its presence in the mid-to-premium segment with a focus on camera performance, display quality and battery life. The lineup is expected to include the Vivo V70 and a higher-end Vivo V70 Elite model.
According to the official website of Vivo , the V70 series is expected to feature a 6.59-inch OLED display with 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, offering smooth scrolling and sharp visuals for everyday use, gaming and video streaming. The phones are likely to come with slim bezels and a premium metal frame, along with IP68 and IP69 ratings for protection against dust and water.
Camera performance is expected to be a key highlight of the V70 series. The V70 Elite is tipped to feature a 50-megapixel ZEISS-tuned Night Telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom and support for up to 100x digital zoom, aimed at improving low-light and long-distance photography.
Both models are expected to include a 50-megapixel main camera with optical image stabilisation (OIS), while the front camera could also be a 50-megapixel ZEISS Group Selfie camera, designed to capture wider group shots with better clarity.
On the performance front, the Vivo V70 Elite is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor, while the standard V70 may run on the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset. These processors are expected to deliver strong performance for multitasking, gaming and AI-based features.
Battery life is another major focus, with the V70 series expected to pack a 6,500mAh battery. Vivo claims the phone could deliver up to 40 hours of video playback on a single charge. The devices are also expected to support up to 90W fast charging, allowing users to recharge quickly.
Expected price and availability
While Vivo has not officially announced pricing, the Vivo V70 is expected to be priced under Rs 50,000, with the V70 Elite positioned slightly higher due to its advanced camera setup and flagship-grade processor.
The Vivo V70 series launch event will take place on February 19 and is expected to be streamed online, with availability likely through Vivo’s official store and major retail platforms shortly after the announcement.
