Indian GM Arjun Ergiasi grabbed headlines yet again on Friday with another victory over the top-ranked Magnus Carlsen at the FIDE Freestyle Chess World Championship in Weissenhaus.

Erigaisi’s win over Carlsen comes just a couple of months after the Indian outwitted the Norwegian at the FIDE World Rapid and Blitz Championship.

In addition to Carlsen, Erigaisi also got the better of Vincent Keymer, and Javokhir Sindarov on the day, but had to endure his course being cut short with Carlsen, Keymer, Fabiano Caruana and Nodirbek Abdusattorov moving into the semifinals of the event.
