Atlanta Electricals Limited shares fell nearly 5 per cent to ₹1,651.50 on Tuesday, hitting the lower price band, even as the Gujarat-based transformer maker reported robust first-quarter earnings for FY27.
The stock opened at ₹1,740, touched an intraday high of ₹1,800, but reversed sharply to close near ₹1,651, down ₹86.30 or 4.97 per cent from its previous close of ₹1,737.80. Sell orders overwhelmingly dominated trading, with 99.34 per cent of queued quantity on the sell side. Traded volume stood at 5.99 lakh shares, with a traded value of ₹101.61 crore. Total market capitalisation stood at ₹12,700 crore.
The sell-off came despite the company reporting strong Q1 FY27 results earlier in the day. Revenue from operations rose 48 per cent year-on-year to ₹466.33 crore. EBITDA grew 58.1 per cent to ₹77.10 crore, with margins expanding 105 basis points to 16.5 per cent. Profit after tax climbed 50.4 per cent to ₹46.84 crore.
The company’s order book stood at ₹3,116.63 crore as of June 30, 2026, up 25 per cent sequentially. Q1 order inflows were ₹972.42 crore. A notable order during the quarter came from Rajasthan Rajya Vidhyut Prasaran Nigam Ltd. worth ₹291.68 crore for high-capacity power transformers.
The stock’s annualised volatility stands at 53.68 per cent. It hit a 52-week high of ₹2,152.60 in June 2026 and trades roughly 23 per cent below that level.
