Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday (July 14, 2026) extended his support to the ongoing Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) protest at Jantar Mantar demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over multiple examination leaks.

Backing the protesters’ demands, Mr. Kejriwal called for Mr. Pradhan’s immediate resignation and urged the Central government to fix the system to ensure paper leaks do not recur.

The AAP Supremo also appealed to Sonam Wangchuk, who has been on a hunger strike for several days, to end his fast, calling him a national treasure and an asset to the country. He announced that he will visit Jantar Mantar at 5 p.m. on Thursday (16 July) to extend his support to the protest.

This comes a day after senior AAP leader and former Chief Minister Atishi visited the protest site on Monday. AAP’s students’ wing ASAP has been extending support to the protest since it started.

Delhi BJP President Harsh Malhotra alleged that Mr. Kejriwal, who entered politics through the India Against Corruption movement, has now sought to salvage his “faltering” political fortunes by getting his former associate Abhijeet Dipke to establish CJP with the objective of provoking and misleading the youth.

He alleged that the youth of the country are no longer going to fall for his political shatranj (chess) game.
