Mafatlal Industries has commissioned its 4 MWp captive ground-mounted solar photovoltaic (PV) power project at its manufacturing facility in Nadiad, Gujarat. Developed at an investment of around Rs 11 crore, the solar power plant is expected to generate approximately 66 lakh kWh of net usable electricity annually, meeting a portion of the unit's energy requirements.
The project is expected to improve cost competitiveness by reducing energy costs, which remains a key component of manufacturing expenses. With reduced dependence on conventional power sources and a reduced carbon footprint, Mafatlal Industries is reinforcing its commitment towards responsible business practices and green energy initiatives.
Mafatlal Industries continues to invest in initiatives that improve operational excellence, strengthen manufacturing competitiveness, and enhance sustainable growth, creating lasting value for customers, shareholders, employees, and the communities it serves.
Mafatlal Industries is engaged in manufacture of textiles and textile chemicals.
