As per sources close to ET Now Digital, as soon as he heard about his father’s health condition, Salman Khan rushed to the hospital. A video of the actor arriving at Lilavati Hospital has gone viral on social media. In the video, Salman looks visibly worried and serious. He was seen wearing a black T-shirt and black pants, surrounded by tight security.
So far, the exact reason for Salim Khan’s hospitalisation has not been revealed. The Khan family has not released any official statement yet.
Fans across the country are hoping and praying that the veteran writer recovers soon. Salim Khan, who is aged 90, is regarded as one of the most influential screenwriters in Hindi cinema history.
About Salim Khan
Salim Khan rose to fame as one half of the legendary writing duo Salim–Javed, along with Javed Akhtar. Together, they redefined the mainstream style of Hindi movies in the 1970s with many hit films to their credit. Their classic cult movie, Sholay, is still considered one of the best Indian films ever made. They also wrote other big hits like Deewaar, Zanjeer, and Don, which helped establish the “angry young man” archetype in Bollywood and elevated the importance of screenwriters.
Personal life
Salim Khan has had a well-known and eventful personal life. He was first married to Salma Khan, and together they had children, including Salman, Arbaaz, Sohail and Alvira. They later adopted a daughter, Arpita. Later, he married actress Helen, and instead of breaking the family apart, they all chose to live together with mutual respect, which is often talked about in Bollywood circles.
