Senthil Balaji gets pre-arrest bail from SC in Tasmac corruption case

NEW DELHI: SC Friday granted pre-arrest bail to DMK's V Senthil Balaji in a corruption case related to Tasmac saying the state no longer suffers "from his so-called malefic influence". The court asked Balaji to scrupulously cooperate with the probe, not tamper with evidence or attempt to influence any witness and directed him to surrender his passport with the investigating officer.

Seeking TN's response to Balaji's plea for quashing of the FIR, it warned him: "We will cancel or modify our order if there is breach of the bail conditions."
