UP Launches 'Kaushal Setu' And 'Kaushal Sarathi' Portals To Digitise Skill Training For Youth

Kapil Dev Aggarwal launched Kaushal Setu and Kaushal Sarathi digital platforms for skill development in UP. UPSDM signed MoUs for training in robotics, AI, and textiles.

Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Vocational Education, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Kapil Dev Aggarwal inaugurated two digital platforms, Kaushal Setu and Kaushal Sarathi, at the state-level celebration of World Youth Skills Day 2026 held at Indira Gandhi Pratishthan on Wednesday. The event was organised under the Uttar Pradesh Skill Development Mission (UPSDM).

What Do The 2 Portals Do?

Kaushal Setu is UPSDM’s digital portal for registering and empanelling Training Partners. It moves the process online, allowing institutions to submit applications, upload documents and provide required information on a single platform without repeated visits to government offices, according to the mission.

Kaushal Sarathi gives youth district-wise information on training centres, courses and Training Partners in one place. A digital map lets users view the location, address and contact details of training centres and choose a course, with information on UPSDM centres in every district available at a click.

MoUs Signed For Future-Oriented Sectors

During the programme, UPSDM signed memoranda of understanding with KLK Private Limited and Winsome Textile Industries Limited. The agreements are intended to give youth training and placement opportunities in robotics, artificial intelligence and textiles.

Coffee Table Book Released

Aggarwal also released a coffee table book titled “Skilling the Future Uttar Pradesh, Journey from Training to Transformation." He said skill development under the state government is not limited to training alone, and is being linked with technology, industry and employment to make youth self-reliant, citing the mantra “Kaushal se Swavalamban aur Swavalamban se Samman."
