Terror suspect Abdul Rehman, 20, who was lodged in the Neemka Jail in Haryana’s Faridabad was allegedly murdered inside the prison by another inmate Arun Choudhary on Sunday (February 8, 2026) night.
Rehman was arrested in Faridabad’s Pali village in a joint operation by the Gujarat Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) and Haryana Special Task Force (STF) in March 2025 for allegedly plotting an attack on Ram Temple in Ayodhya and being in possession of two hand grenades.
Choudhary attacked Rehman with a sharp-edged stone-like object, killing him, Faridabad Police spokesperson Yashpal said. The matter came to light at around 2 a.m. on Monday (February 9).
Arun Choudhary currently faces murder and attempt to murder charges in eight cases in Jammu and Amritsar. He was shifted from Kathua to Neemka in October 2024, said Mr. Yashpal.
